# What is the Faaaster AI assistant?

The **AI Assistant** is the first point of contact for Faaaster support: a chat built into the dashboard that examines your sites, explains an error, guides you through Faaaster, and fixes a problem with your approval. If needed, it passes your request on to our team.

> It opens from the **Support** button at the bottom of the sidebar, from the animated round button in the top bar, to the right of your avatar, and from **Open the Faaaster AI agent** in a site's **AI / MCP** tab.

## What it can look at

The assistant has read access to your sites' data — that's what lets it give you more than generic answers:

- the **list of your sites**;
- **performance** and **monitoring**, including the history of measurements;
- **resources measured live**: the site's memory, PHP and caches;
- **events** and **logs**;
- **security** status and **incidents**;
- the site's **configuration**;
- available and restorable **backups**;
- the site's **pages**;
- a live **HTTP check**;
- your **domains** and their **DNS records**;
- the organization's **billing**, for its owners and admins;
- the **Faaaster documentation**, to answer your questions about how the platform works.

In other words, it looks at the same screens you do, but all at once.

## What it can do

Clear the cache, restore a backup, change a domain's DNS, update WordPress, its plugins and themes, or troubleshoot a site directly: each action is proposed to you and only goes ahead after you approve it.

## What it doesn't do

The assistant is there to help you use Faaaster and troubleshoot your sites. It doesn't build sites, pages or features, doesn't write content, and doesn't handle topics unrelated to Faaaster.

To have your site built or developed further, see [Can Faaaster build my site for me?](https://help.faaaster.io/en-us/article/have-your-site-built-fath0n/).

## Your conversations

Your conversations are kept in a **history**. You can start a **New conversation**, go back to a previous one, **edit** a message to resend it, or **stop** a response in progress.

The assistant answers one message at a time: wait until it has finished its response before sending the next one.

## Who can use it

The assistant is **free** as part of support: it doesn't use any credits. A daily and monthly **usage limit** applies to each organization; when it's reached, the assistant tells you, and you can still write to our team with the **Write to the team** link.

What it can do for you depends on your role on each site: it only sees the sites you have access to. A Viewer can ask it to clear the cache; other actions require the Member role or higher, and the organization's billing remains reserved for its owner and admins.

**Development sessions** — creating or changing features with the agent — are a separate service that uses credits.
