# How do I use a discount code on Faaaster?

A discount code is applied at checkout, in the site creation flow or when changing plans. There is no coupon field anywhere else in the interface.

## Where to enter the code

The field appears on the **cart page**, at the last step of the creation flow — but only if you chose a **paid plan**.

> **With the Dev plan, as long as it's free (30 days), no coupon field is shown**: there's nothing to pay. Go through the flow again, selecting Perso, Pro or Business, to make the field appear.

## Step by step

1. From your **Projects**, click **New site**.
2. Fill in the site settings, then click **Continue**.
3. Choose a **paid** plan and click **Select**.
4. Fill in the **Billing** step if it appears — it's skipped when your organization's billing information is already complete.
5. On the **Validation** page, enter your code in the **Discount Code** field, then click **Validate** — the cart total updates.
6. Enter your payment method and confirm with **Subscribe**.

> **The field is called "Discount Code"** and sits between your billing information and the payment method. The **Validate** button next to it applies the code: the cart's **Sub-total**, **VAT** and **Total** are recalculated immediately.

## If the code is rejected

The message shown is **"This coupon does not exist"**.

Three causes, from most to least frequent:

1. **A typo** — copy and paste rather than retyping.
2. **The code has expired.**
3. **The code doesn't apply to this plan** or to this billing period.

> **If in doubt, ask support before confirming your subscription.** A code that wasn't applied at subscription can't always be applied afterward.
