# How do I create a WordPress site on Faaaster?

From the **Projects** list, click **New site**: a step-by-step flow asks you for the site settings, the hosting plan, then a confirmation. The site is provisioned within a few minutes.

> **The number of steps varies**: **three** at minimum — a **Billing** step is inserted before the validation when your billing information is incomplete and the plan is paid, or when you belong to several organizations; the **Buy a domain name** button also adds a step.

## Step 1 — Website parameters

1. Click **New site** from the **Projects** list.
2. Enter the **Website name**.
3. Choose the **Website language** — **Français** or **English**. This is the language WordPress is installed in.
4. The **Temporary domain name** is suggested automatically from the site name, ending in `.faaaster.dev`. You can change it.
5. Click **Continue**.

By default, the site is created from the **Empty WordPress Site** blueprint — an empty WordPress installation. The **Change template** button only appears if your organization already has its own blueprints: it then lets you choose another one.

> **The temporary domain isn't permanent.** You can connect a custom domain at any time after creation. The **Buy a domain name** button also lets you purchase one right away.

## Step 2 — Hosting plan

Four plans are offered: **Dev**, **Perso**, **Pro** and **Business**. Click **Select** under the one that suits you — under **Dev**, the button reads **Create a development site**. **Billing** is set to **Yearly** by default.

The **Dev** plan is **free for 30 days**, with one trial per account: otherwise, its card shows **No more free spots**. A **Dev** site stays private ("Private site — public publishing not included").

## Billing step — when it appears

The **Billing** step asks for the **Billing Account** (the owner of the subscription) and the **Billing Informations** — first name, last name, email, phone, company, address, postal code, city, country and region.

It appears if you belong to several organizations (to choose the one that will hold the site), or if the plan is paid and your organization's billing information is incomplete.

## Last step — Validation

The screen summarizes the site, the chosen plan and the cart. If there's nothing to pay, click **Validate** to start the creation; with a paid plan, enter your payment method, then click **Subscribe**. The **Back** button lets you go back.

## While the site starts up

The site appears immediately in your projects with the status **Starting up…**, and the message "Your website is loading, it will be ready within a few minutes!".

During this time, the site's actions are disabled: this is normal, the infrastructure is still being prepared. Once ready, the status changes to **Online**. As long as it's on its temporary `.faaaster.dev` address, the site stays in private mode: you access it through its **Preview and collaboration link**.
