# How do I access my Faaaster site's database?

The site's **Access** tab, **Database** section, gives you the connection credentials and opens an online SQL client with the **Client DB (Adminer)** button.

## Open the SQL client

1. Open the site, **Access** tab.
2. In the **Database** section, click **Client DB (Adminer)**.

3. In the window that opens, note the **Login** and **Password** shown, then click **Access the SQL client**.

Adminer opens in your browser: you can browse tables, run queries and export data without installing anything. If the window says the SQL client is no longer available on the site, click **Redeploy DB client** to get a new link.

## Get the credentials

The same section shows the database connection credentials: **Host**, **DB Name**, **login** and **Password** (hidden; the eye icon reveals it). Each value has its own copy button.

> **These credentials give full access to your data.** Don't share them, and don't store them in plain text in a code repository.

## Connect from an external tool

The database is **not directly exposed to the Internet**: it only accepts connections from inside the infrastructure. A client such as Sequel Ace, TablePlus or DBeaver therefore can't connect to it directly from your computer.

> **Need a SQL client installed on your computer?** Contact support: the access is set up with the Faaaster team.

> **It's a protection, not a constraint.** A database reachable from any address is a database that eventually gets found.

For a quick look, **Adminer** is still faster: nothing to configure.
