# How do I read my Faaaster site's integrity check?

The **Check integrity** button, in the site's **Security** tab, compares WordPress core and plugin files to their official versions. The result tells you whether your site is **Intact** or whether some files differ, and which ones.

## How to read the result

The check compares your site's core and plugin files to the **official WordPress.org checksums**: it spots what has been modified compared to a clean installation.

The result takes one of these values:

| Result | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Intact** | No differences: the files match the official versions. |
| **Differences detected** | Some files differ — see the details below. |
| **Error** | The check couldn't be completed. |

Each difference is categorized: file **Modified**, **Missing**, **Added**, or **Other**.

> **A difference isn't necessarily an infection.** A file modified on purpose — a misplaced child theme, a customization in the core — shows up too. It's an accumulation of **added** files in the core directories that should raise a red flag.

The **Vulnerabilities** section, in the same tab, lists the detected vulnerabilities.
