# How do I give someone access to my Faaaster site?

There are two levels of access. From a site's **Team** tab, **Invite members** gives access to **that site only**. From the **Account** → **Team** menu, the same action gives access to **the whole organization**.

## Invite someone to a site

1. Open the site.
2. Go to the **Team** tab.
3. Click **Invite members**.
4. In the **Add a collaborator** window, fill in the **E-mail** and the **Role**, then click **Submit**.

The person receives an invitation by email.

## Invite someone to the organization

1. In the left-hand menu, **Account** section, click **Team**.
2. Click **Invite members**.

Access then covers all the sites in the account.

## Which one should you choose?

- A **contractor** who only works on one project → invitation **to the site**.
- A **business partner** or a permanent team member → invitation **to the organization**.

## The available roles

Three roles can be assigned when inviting: **Admin**, **Member** and **Viewer**. Only the **Owner** and **Admins** can invite: for other roles, the **Invite members** button is grayed out. The role can then be changed from the **Team** screen, in the collaborator's row menu, with **Change role**.

## Add a message

The form includes a **Your message** field, prefilled and included in the invitation email. A word of context — who you are, which project — keeps the invitation from being mistaken for spam.

## If the invitation doesn't go through

The **Team** screen lists pending invitations (status **Pending**) and offers **Resend invitation** in their row menu.

Two things to know:

- **The recipient doesn't need a Faaaster account beforehand.** If they don't have one, the email takes them to a form where they create their password and accept the invitation in a single step.
- **The invitation must be accepted with the exact address it was sent to.** If they're logged in with another account, they'll see: "The invitation doesn't seem to be for the account you're currently logged-in with."

> **Invitation links expire.** If yours shows "This invitation is expired or invalid", resend it from the **Team** screen.
