# I forgot my Faaaster password, what should I do?

From the login page, click **Forgotten password ?** to the right of the **Log in** button. You'll receive an email with a link to choose a new password.

## The procedure

1. Open the Faaaster login page.
2. Click **Forgotten password ?**.

3. Enter your email address.
4. Open the email you received and click the link.
5. Choose a new password.

The form asks for a password of at least 8 characters, entered twice (**New Password** and **Confirm New Password**).

## I'm not receiving the email

- Check your mailbox's **spam** folder.
- Make sure the address you entered is the one on your account.
- If you signed up **with GitHub**, you don't have a Faaaster password: use **Login with GitHub**.

## The link has expired

Reset links have a limited lifetime, deliberately short: that's what prevents an old email found in a compromised mailbox from being used to take over your account.

If yours no longer works, **simply start the procedure again** from **Forgotten password ?** — a new link will be sent to you.

> **Use the link as soon as you receive it.** And always click the **most recent** one: requesting several resets in a row invalidates the previous links.
