# How do I reuse a Faaaster site as a template?

A site can serve as a **blueprint** — a template from which to create the next ones, already configured. When you create a site, the creation flow starts from a blueprint: "Empty WordPress Site" by default. The **Change template** button only appears if your organization has its own blueprints; otherwise, start from an existing site with **cloning**.

## Choose a blueprint when creating a site

1. From your **Projects**, click **New site**.
2. At the **Website parameters** step, under the blueprint preview, click **Change template** (the button only appears if your organization has its own blueprints).
3. Choose the template you want, then continue creating the site as usual.

This is also how **cloning** works: duplicating a site amounts to using it as the blueprint for the new project.

## Turn your own site into a blueprint

> ⚠️ **This feature is no longer available.** You can't publish your own site as a reusable blueprint.

To start from an existing site, use **cloning**: it produces exactly the same result — a new project preconfigured from the chosen site — without going through a published template.
