# How do I collect my client's feedback on a Faaaster site?

The site's **Tasks** tab lets you track feedback as a **Kanban** board or a **List**, and create tasks with **New task**. Tasks can also be created directly from the site's pages, as visual annotations.

## The two views

- **Kanban** — tasks in columns, by status.
- **List** — the same thing, as a list.

The **New task** button creates a task from the dashboard.

## Annotate the site directly

Feedback can be left **on the site's pages themselves**: a marker is placed at the relevant spot, with a comment and a screenshot. This saves you the back-and-forth by email with screenshots annotated by hand.

The **Preview and collaboration link**, in the site's header bar, is precisely what gives a client this access, even when the site is in private mode.

## Turn on annotations on the site

1. Open the site, **Tasks** tab.
2. Turn on the **Visual annotations** switch, next to the page title.
3. Confirm ("Change annotation mode?"): the site restarts to apply the change, which takes a few minutes.

> ⚠️ **Turning annotations on restarts the site.** The interface warns you before you confirm. Plan it for an off-peak time if the site is already live.

Once turned on, the site's pages show a collaboration block at the bottom of the screen, with a comments icon.

## What your client sees

They open the **Preview and collaboration link** you send them, browse normally, and click the comments icon to leave an annotation at the exact spot that bothers them. A screenshot of the context is attached automatically.

> **No Faaaster account is needed to annotate.** That's the whole point of the collaboration link: your client has nothing to create, nothing to install.

## Task statuses

| Status | Use |
| --- | --- |
| **No status** | An annotation that just came in and hasn't been sorted yet. |
| **To do** | The feedback is accepted and waiting to be handled. |
| **In progress** | Someone is working on it. |
| **To validate** | It's done, waiting for the client to check it. |
| **Returns** | The client has replied — the fix isn't right yet. |
| **Validated** | Finished and accepted. |

In **Kanban** view, tasks move from one column to another; in **List** view, click the row: the status is changed in the detail panel that opens.

## Create a task from the dashboard

The **New task** button asks for a **Description** ("What needs to be done?"), an optional **Target page (URL or path)** (`/contact` or the full URL) and a **Status**, and accepts **Attachments**. If left empty, the target page attaches the task to the home page. Confirm with **Create task**.

## Hand a task to the AI

> ⚠️ **AI handling of tasks is reserved for the Faaaster team.** The **Hand to AI** button doesn't appear in your **Tasks** tab.
