Upgrade to MySQL 8
MySQL 5.7 is deprecated, you might have a warning in WordPress site health tab.
By doing so, you will benefit from the features of Google Cloud MySQL Enterprise Plus!
This upgrade includes two optimizations to further improve your WordPress site's performance:
accelerated read and write performance
integrated Redis cache for read operations
Go to the BACKUPS tab of your Faaaster management panel
Click "NEW BACKUP",
Enter the backup name and click "CONFIRM".
Go to the BACKUPS tab of your Faaaster management panel and click "RESTORE" on your newly created backup.
Be careful to select the newly created backup to avoid data loss!
Note that restoring the site will cause a few minutes of downtime, depending on the site's size.
*Choose the Database Only option and click "Confirm."
The site will restart.
You're done and now have the latest version of our MySQL server!*

MySQL Database Update Procedure
Step 1 - Create a New Backup
Go to the BACKUPS tab of your Faaaster management panel
Click "NEW BACKUP",
Enter the backup name and click "CONFIRM".
Step 2 - Restore the Newly Created Backup
Go to the BACKUPS tab of your Faaaster management panel and click "RESTORE" on your newly created backup.
