What is the "About you" screen for at sign-up?

This screen, shown right after sign-up, creates your organization — the entity that will hold your sites, your team and your billing. You enter your profile and the organization's name, then click Validate.

Fill in the screen

  1. In the You are : list, choose the profile that fits you: Student, Blogger, Agency or freelance, E-commerce, SME, Enterprise or Other.
  2. Fill in the second field, whose label depends on the chosen profile.
  3. Click Validate.

The "About you" screen: the list of profiles, the field whose label depends on it, and the Validate button.

The second field changes depending on your profile. For Student, Blogger or Other, it's labeled Username. For Agency or freelance, E-commerce, SME or Enterprise, it becomes Organization's name. Either way, it's the name of your organization.

What is the organization for?

The organization brings together:

  • your sites;
  • your team and each member's role;
  • your billing: subscriptions, invoices, payment methods.

You can rename it later from Settings, and create others if you manage several entities: the Create an organization entry, in the organization selector menu, reopens this same screen.

This screen keeps coming back

If you land on About you again, the organization wasn't created: as long as your account isn't attached to any organization, the project list sends you back there. Check that the second field (Username or Organization's name) is filled in, then click Validate again. If the screen still comes back, contact support.
