How do I adjust my Faaaster site's PHP configuration?

The site's Server tab, PHP configuration section, exposes the main PHP settings with their default value and their maximum. The Save button applies your changes live, without a restart; Reset to plan defaults undoes your adjustments.

The values and maximums above are those of the Dev plan. They depend on your hosting plan: a higher plan allocates more resources.

Changing a setting

  1. Open the site, Server tab.
  2. In the PHP configuration section, adjust the values.
  3. Click Save.

The Server tab: the PHP version and the PHP settings, with their default value and their maximum.

Only the values you change are saved: they carry the Custom badge. The others, marked Inherited from plan, follow your plan and change along with it.

To go back, click Reset to plan defaults, then Save: your settings are removed and every value goes back to Inherited from plan.

When should you change them?

  • Memory limit — a blank page or an out-of-memory error during an import or a heavy operation.
  • Max execution time — a long-running task cut off before it finishes.
  • Max input variables — a very long form, or a theme with many settings, whose fields get truncated when you save.

Just below, the PHP recommendations section suggests values calculated from your site's measurements and your plan's limits. Check the proposed value, then click Apply; when the target exceeds what your plan allows, the View plans button appears instead.
