Can I rename my site on Faaaster?

No. A site's name is set when it's created and can't be changed afterward. No screen in the interface allows it, and the API that exposes a site is read-only on this point.

Three names not to confuse

This is often the real question behind "can I rename my site?". Three things carry a name, and two of them can easily be changed:

Can it be changed?

Where

Website name — the one in the Projects list

❌ No

Set at creation

Temporary address ending in .faaaster.dev

❌ No

Assigned at creation

Primary domain — what your visitors see

✅ Yes

Domains tab

What the public sees is the primary domain. The site name and the .faaaster.dev address are only internal reference points in your dashboard. A site name that's no longer accurate therefore has no effect on your visitors.

If the name really no longer fits

The only way is to start again from a new site, then archive the old one:

  1. Open the current site, Tools tab, Backup & migration section, and click Clone — the new site starts with the same files and the same database.
  2. In the creation flow, give it its new name and choose its plan.
  3. Reconnect the primary domain to the new site.
  4. Archive the old one.

Prerequisite — cloning and archiving are reserved for the organization's owner and admins.

⚠️ The new site has its own subscription. Make sure the old one is actually canceled so you don't pay twice, and only archive it once the domain has actually been switched over.
